Sunday Fun Day at the Denver Botanic Gardens
Jill is back in town and we were able to spend some quality family time together on Sunday at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. They had a bunch of Halloween festivities going on and it was a gorgeous day. We spent a good chunk of time at the playground and M had a blast.

Violet & New toy attacks
Violet is one of M's new buddies. Violet was a birthday present from Aunt Maureen. Thanks to Dad and a USB cord, Violet knows M by name and asks for beans when she is hungry.
Aunt Jocelyn, Aunt Jenn, and Cousin Patrick Jude sent M a super cool birthday present. I didn't have the video going at the time, but you as you can see below, sometimes super cool presents ATTACK!

Full-time Daddy Duty
Jill is in New York for the ILW Conference and M and I are holding down the fort in Denver. We went to the free day at the Denver Zoo today and then we went and played in City Park. M made some friends at the zoo (see below). I am not sure how much they appreciated being called dogs...

Sorry for the Blog Break!
Busy days at the Hereau house. Mommy and Daddy are both swamped at work, leaving little time for quality time with ME. So nice it was to escape to the mountains for the weekend, then, and take a little break. Here is our little girl on a Saturday morning hike:
We were visiting with family--Uncles Matt, Robb, Boonie and Andy; Aunts Ann and Molly; and Danielle.
Aunt Annie also indulged M's love of music.
We are back in Denver now, and plan on enjoying the beautiful weather (it is in the 80's!) with a picnic outside.

Pumpkin Patch
We had an impromptu trip to the pumpkin patch today. We went to Andy and Danielle's today to pick up a few things, and the church next-door to their house had set up a pumpkin patch.
M crawled around, searching for the perfect pumpkin.
And success! She found it :)

Happy Birthday!
M turned one today! And it was a momentous day for many reasons, including that today--on October 8--M started walking. I did not have the camera out and on when she took her first steps. Or the next, or next...she took so many steps today, we were just in awe. I did pull out the camera just before bath time, but what I recorded is not nearly as impressive as what she was doing throughout the day.
I will do my best to get more walking videos tomorrow. And tomorrow we are celebrating M's birthday with family here in Denver, so more photos of cake, ice cream, and presents to come!

Birthday Party #2
We had a great time celebrating M's birthday with the Hereau's on Thursday. Cake, presents, and best of all family--we had fun and cannot believe that tomorrow will be one year!
