In Denver, but Disconnected

It has been a busy week (with lots of photos) so I am going to post a "recap" of M's trip to Georgia.

Last Day in GA

We spent our last full day here in Georgia visiting a winery, where we enjoyed lunch outdoors on the balcony of the tasting room.

M had a bottle for her lunch, and insisted on feeding herself. 

She is such a big girl--next week we start solid food, and she will be crawling soon. Not to mention the fact that I think she is waving at people, and sometimes it sounds like she is saying "hi." 

Tomorrow I am taking my happy baby on an early morning flight back to Chicago, to get into the car and drive to Grand Rapids. It will be a long day of travel, and I hope she keeps a smile on her face throughout. 

Hiking the AT

We visited Amicalola Falls today, at the southern end of the 2,175 mile Appalachian Trail. It was a beautiful walk, with a nice lunch at the top of the mountain.

M has loved all of the fresh air. Surprisingly, she also loves Peanut, Aunt Diane's dog. 

Tomorrow we are off to a winery, and plan to spend more time enjoying the wonderful spring weather.

Play Date

We had a fantastic day today visiting with cousins Jack and Dean. M and Dean hit it off right away--they are only nine months apart.

M also found a new toy to love at Christie and Carols' house. I wish I could turn this video around so you could get the full effect of her as a jumping bean. 

We owe a big "Thanks!" to Chris for hosting us all day, and we are looking forward to spending a full week with the Medina's at U-Stick in July. 

80 Degrees

It was a beautiful day today in Big Canoe, GA. We took a nice walk through the foothills, where it was apparent that spring has arrived.

Then, we headed to neighboring Ellijay for BBQ dinner. The place was decorated with named pigs, and the one outside the door said "Baby Buster," and we had to take a photo because Grandpa Schmieder calls M "Buster" sometimes. 

We just are watching women's NCAA now, and waiting to talk to Rome, who has spent the weekend cleaning our new home. We are excited to get to Denver to be with him!

In Atlanta

We just landed in Atlanta, and now it is definately time for bed!
