Super Cute Things M Does These Days

• When M changes her stuffed animal's diapers, she says "P.U.!" And she puts them on the potty. 
• She runs and while she is running says "Running!" in a very  excited voice. 
• When she pretend cooks she offers us tastes (of nothing) on a spoon. 
• She says "please" and "thank you" correctly and with some frequency. And when she says "please" it is so cute we almost always give her what she wants :) 
• She stops to smell flowers growing in our neighbor's yards. 
• Grandma Schmieder sent a package with two outfits last month and now M thinks all of her clothes (and all mail) is from Grandma and Grandpa. When she gets dressed in the morning she picks up her clothes and says "Grandma." 
• She prefers the stairs to the elevator and takes them one at a time. 
• She likes to cheers her glass with ours at dinner. 

Special Hair, Special Phone Call

Tonight when M got out of the bath she asked for "Grandma and Grandpa" and "Baba Blacksheep." So we called Grandma and Grandpa on the phone and they sang her a song.

Reading Books, Yesterday and Today

Easter Part II

M had to wear her hat to the playground yesterday...good thing because it was 85 and sunny. 

She had fun on the swings with Ainsley and Daddy. Lots of giggles. 

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We woke up this morning to gifts--books, coloring books, a stuffed animal and sidewalk chalk. After church, Daddy and M colored outdoors while Mommy hid eggs in the condo. 

Daddy, Uncle Andy and I all watched with delight as M found and opened Easter eggs. 

Stickers, graham crackers, and goldfish crackers were inside. 

In the afternoon, we went to the park. Those photos will be posted tomorrow. Love and good night to all! 

What Am I Doing Here?

We went to an Easter egg hunt today at the University of Denver. "Hunt" is a bit of a misnomer, as the goodies were all in plain site. M did a great job waiting until the the signal was given to start, much better than most of the crying kids in the 0-2 age group. Once it was go time, she was a bit hesitant, picking up a train and then a bunny (after some encouragement from Mom and Dad). She ended up with three stuff animals, forgoing the books and moving too slow for the balls. 

A nice little girl who had favored the hats and ended up with one in each color shared with M so we also came home with this: 

We skipped the adult "hunt" which was for DU gear--that was over in about 15 seconds, they were worse than the kiddos! Tomorrow we will hide eggs in the condo for M to find. More photos to come!
