Cooper!

The other night we were looking at baby Patrick's blog, and M saw a photo of Patrick's dog, Cooper. She was so excited and yelled "Cooper!" We could not believe she remembered the dog's name, since the last time we were at Jocelyn and Jenn's house for a visit was two months ago. We got out the camera to record some excitement, but unfortunately (and like with most videos) we failed to get it out in time to capture the real joy and silliness. 

What a Weekend!

We had such a fun weekend. Saturday was almost 65 degrees and walked to the library in the morning, park in the afternoon, and spent the rest of the day running errands and reading new books. 

Today we went to church, the zoo, and shopping. It was a little chilly today, but that just meant we had the zoo to ourselves. I wish we had one more day to play--it would be nice to check out a new park and to spend some more time with my little M.

One Fish, Two Fish

We went to the aquarium this afternoon and M loved it. Just look at that smile: 

She looked like that for most of the day, except when she had her face pressed to the glass to give the fish kisses.

That is a happy face, a very happy face. Unfortunately Grandma is still sick and missed it--we will have to go again next time they visit Denver.

Unfortunately, Grandma is sick so we had to cut our weekend in the mountains short and head back to Denver. But we are enjoying being back, and Grandma is getting a lot of sleep so all is good!

Grandma and Grandpa arrived Friday for a visit, and as a present babysat M so we could go skiing. So no blog this weekend because we were not with M. But now we are back, so here is your daily dose:

Laundry Day

This is what M wears on laundry day--jammies that are getting a little tight with socks. Beautiful! 

No Photos...Again

Another day with no photos--and a day off at that! I have no excuses. We did have a busy day with church, grocery shopping, and of course the big game. M had fun at our friend's house running around and around and around...it was exhausting to watch and I missed all of the game and commercials. Romeo took a video with my phone, but it did not upload. I will try again later, and in the meantime good night and I hope your Sunday was as nice as ours!

Go Pioneers!

These photos from my phone are a little blurry, but generally capture our day today, which was spent at the University of Denver (DU) cheering on the DU Pioneer's basketball team. DU played Middle Tennessee State University and won. It was a ton of fun, and M really enjoyed shouting "yay!" with the crowd. We sat with Daddy's co-workers because City Year was one of the organizations promoted during the game. The game was also broadcast on ESPN, so City Year got even more publicity than expected. All around, a fun day. And tomorrow more sports, with M's favorite, football, on tv.

Tubes

No fun photos tonight, but an update from snowy Colorado. We enjoyed a family snow-day today. Both City Year and the University of Denver were closed due to a snow storm that has brought about a foot of snow to Denver, with more expected overnight. We spent the day playing, shopping (we bought a potty!) and reading.

M has been in great spirits despite a lingering ear infection. It has been one month since it was diagnosed, and we have gone through three antibiotic treatments, including a round of antibiotic shots to cure the right ear. We were at the doctor's office three times this week as part of the treatment. Because it is not getting any better, we will be seeing a specialist in a few weeks to discuss tubes. M's doctor (who is amazing, by the way) has said that she sees no way around it. We know that tubes are common for kids--I even had them--but surgery is scary. So we will see what the new doctor says on Feb. 22, and will keep you posted!

Dress Up

M likes to play dress up with our clothes. So, I keep a dresser drawer full of old clothes for her to play with. Here she is wearing a winter hat, old bikini and a bella band. For those of you who do not know what a bella band is, it is an elastic waistband to hold up a pregnant woman's pants.

M wears this all well, and has fun putting these get-ups together. We have more fun, I think, watching her.
