In the Mountians
Apologies for the long blog break. I have been sick with a cold, and then we headed up to the mountains sans computer. We had a great time with Aunt Molly and Uncle Robb. We went skiing, snowshoeing and visited Aunt Molly's preschool. Here we are snowshoeing and sledding outside of Granby. We had so much fun, and are looking forward to our next trip to Winter Park in a few weeks!

Sick Day
M is sick and I spent the day home with her. The ear infection she had less than two weeks ago never went away, and now she also has pink eye and a stomach bug. Yuck! She looked better in the morning, bad by the time she went to bed. But we have three prescriptions that should make her feel better soon!

2T
Look at my clean, big baby. I was home today and we went to the store to use an Old Navy Groupon that was to expire. I bought M a super-cute sweatshirt, size 2T. When did that happen? No more denying that she is a toddler...

Poop and Other Updates
No photos today. That's what happens on busy days during busy weeks. But I will provide an update instead.
M has started at-home daycare with a friend and stay-at-home mom, Apryl. Apryl has two little girls, one who is just six months older than M. M loves going over there, and the girls Avery and Ainsley say that M is their "best friend."Needless to say, M is thriving in this new environment.
She is also getting one step closer to the potty-training milestone. This week, M started saying "poop" when she goes #1 and #2, letting us know that it is time to change the diaper. Recognition is the first step is getting her on ready to go on the potty, and we did not have to do anything to get her there! Except talk to her, I guess. And we are having a great time talking to her. She is getting better at conversing, actually giving simple answers to simple questions and identifying many every-day objects. This morning, she was at the window and said "Moon!" I told her that no, the moon is out at night and not during the day, only to look out the window and see the moon there in the blue sky.
It is amazing how fast she changes and grows. I know all parents say that about their children (Joc, talking about you, I just read your blog), but it is true. Just a year ago she was rolling around on a blanket, sleeping most of the day and not yet eating food! And now she is walking, talking, helping with laundry, and pretend feeding her stuffed animals. It is amazing!

Belly
M had a big breakfast, lunch and dinner. As a result she also has a big belly--her belly button was actually an outie when dinner was over. So when undressing out of the very dirty clothes after dinner and before bath, we snapped some shots of our baby's belly--these do not even come close to capturing our little Buddha!

Tired of Waiting...
M did not feel like waiting for us by the door any more so she just laid down to wait. Patience is not yet one of her strong suits.

Reading
Last night we were reading on the floor and M climbed up to get a better look. Less comfortable for Mommy...
