Smiles

Silly faces at dinner...

And then serious. But still cute.

The Christmas Tree

M really wants to touch the Christmas tree. But she is not allowed and doesn't. She has two new dog ornaments though, so the temptation is strong.

These photos were taken this morning, and we sat and talked about the different ornaments. Snow men, Santa, angels, birds, toys, even cake--there is a lot to look at.

We love that she loves it so much, since setting up the tree is one of our favorite holiday traditions.

Feeding the Ducks

We had a lovely day in Boulder playing in the park and at the playground, and visiting with friends. M had a blast feeding the ducks, as you can see from the video.

Some got a little too close (in Mommy's opinion) but that was very exciting to M. This was better than the zoo  I think!

Sharing

M understands when we ask her to share or give us something. Yesterday on Skype, she shared her "tea" with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa by pouring her toy cup into their mouths on the computer screen.

Then, at dinner she fed her green beans to the animals on her place mat. When she put the beans near their faces she made a "chomp, chomp, chomp" noise as she pretended to chew (for them, presumably).

It is all very cute, and very funny.

Park!

We went to the park this afternoon and had a great time playing on the slide, swings, and other toys.

M had a great time on the swings. We took lots of photos to capture her laughs.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We shared the Thanksgiving holiday with the Rankin family (my Uncle Robb's parents, brother, sister and their kids) in Fort Collins. The food and company were amazing, and M made some new friends, including this lovely cat.

Here Daddy and Aunt Molly are putting on nametags.

M did not want to wear hers; she just wanted to hold it.

Aunt Molly also read M lots of books, after M tired of chasing the dog and cat.

We have a lot to be thankful for, not the least our smiley little M!

Cards

M likes reading cards. Today Daddy got a nice birthday card from Grandma and Grandpa Schmieder that was really meant for M--it had a dog on the front and barked. Here we are sitting on the couch reading the card.
