Along for the Ride

M likes to load her toys on the walker and take them for a ride across the room. Such a funny girl!

Camping

We went camping this weekend at a site about 30 minutes from Leadville, near Twin Lakes. It was beautiful.

We drove there on Friday, and on Saturday morning we woke up to M laughing; she was so delighted to be in the tent. She slept well both nights, and had a great time playing outside. Below are some of the highlights.

We got back to Denver Sunday afternoon, welcomed by 96-degree temperatures. We spent the rest of the day resting, and M is now getting her second bath of the day just before bedtime.

Truth be told, we went on Monday. But I did not take the camera out today, so this few-days-old photo will have to do.

Sorry for the sideways video (again!) but we have to share M's newest accomplishment--climbing on furniture. 

Weekend

On Friday, we played in Andy and Danielle's backyard. M had a great time drinking from the hose, but of course I did not take out the camera until she was all done. M also went in the swing and hammock, and played ball with Mommy.

On Saturday, we went hiking in El Dorado Canyon.

And we had lunch in Boulder. We ended the night back at Andy and Danielle's, and it was late so I did not blog. Sorry and happy Sunday!

Big Hugs!

M had big hugs today for Daddy's teddy bear. Grandma Hereau gave M her Daddy's old toy, and he is well-loved, soft, and snuggly. Here she is laying on him to give him a good squeeze. 

Upside Down But Still Sweet

Fun camera angle today when I was playing on the floor with M. Tomorrow we have tumbling class at the JCC and I think she is all ready to roll around on all of the gymnastic mats.

I Can Do It All By Myself

Back Home

We are back in Denver after a long day in the airport. The airplane needed a new tire, and they drove one in from Milwaukee...causing a five hour delay...and a ten hour trip back to Denver. We were both happy to get home, and M was back to crawling around: 

And enjoying the sunshine (in her eyes!) and spending time with Daddy. 

Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandma, Great Grandma...and More!

Over the past few days, M got to see so much family--Grandma, Grandpa, Great-Grandma, Great-Grandpa, Great Aunt Judy, Aunt Jocelyn, Aunt Jenn, and cousin Patrick. Whew!

Nice visits with all, and we are headed back to Denver tomorrow.

Why Did We Get a Walker?

M loves pushing chairs, her high chair, laundry baskets and anything else sizable around the house. Even at Grandma's :)

Shoes

M just cannot get used to wearing shoes. Thankfully, it is better to leave her feet bare as she explores and attempts to walk. But soon enough, she will be walking and will need shoes when she is outside and out of the house. I wonder how we will convince her to keep them on her feet instead of in her mouth?

So Pretty!

I made M a loop with her toys and put it around her neck. She was tickled and wanted to put it on herself. She missed the first few times, but then got the hang of it.

Nap Wars

Romeo is out of town, and called today right when M went down for a nap. She woke up, and did not nap again until 4:00pm. Here she is, sleeping beauty. You would never know it was such a struggle to get her to sleep.
